Person found dead in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — One person died after being shot in northeast Columbus, police say.

Columbus police officers were sent to the 2300 block of Marcia Drive around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday after a 911 caller said a man was lying on the sidewalk.

When they arrived, officers found a man with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Medics pronounced 30-year-old Eddie E. Lovely dead at the scene.

Police have not identified any suspects.
