Homicide officers investigate deadly stabbing

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — One person has died after a report of a stabbing southeast of downtown Sunday evening.

Columbus police said one victim was pronounced dead near a home in the 600 block of Miller Avenue just before 9 p.m.

Medics were called to the scene at about 8:41 p.m. Sunday on reports of the stabbing.

Officials said a suspect was in custody. Names of the victim and suspect have not been released, and details of the incident are still unclear.

Roughly half the block of Miller Avenue was roped off with crime tape. Several police units are on scene as the investigation continues.
