Gas drops below $1.30 at some Columbus stations

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The price of a gallon of gas is dropping in several parts of Columbus.

NBC4 visited several gas stations in west Columbus, where the price of a gallon of regular unleaded was as low as $1.22.

Columbus GasBuddy shows six stations in Galloway and west and southwest Columbus all below $1.30 as of 10 p.m. Sunday.

The low prices can be in part attributed to the price of oil. Crude oil dropped below $30 a barrel Friday, the lowest price in 12 years.

Other gas stations in Columbus are reporting prices as high as $1.99 a gallon. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
