Man dies after New Year’s Day shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A 21-year-old victim of a shooting earlier this month has died, police said.

Columbus police said Robert D. Brigham, who was shot in front of an apartment building on Lilley Avenue, died Sunday morning as a result of his injuries. This is the 9th homicide in Columbus in 2016.

Police said he and 26-year-old Antonio L. Parks were both victims in the New Year’s Day shooting. They were taken to Grant Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Parks remains in critical condition, according to police.

Investigators said the shooting occurred after a dispute in the alley north of 883 Lilley Ave.
