Actor Jamie Foxx saves man from burning vehicle

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (WCMH)–The “Django Unchained” actor is being credited with saving the life of a man who was trapped inside a burning pickup truck after a crash.

According to a Facebook post by Safety for Citizens, a crash happened in front of the actor’s home in Westlake. The post says Foxx told police he heard the crash, called 911 and reached inside the burning vehicle and pulled a person out, dragging them to safety.

According to NBC, Foxx’s representatives confirmed the actor had pulled a person from a burning truck near his home.

A report from the California Highway Patrol says the driver of the truck was taken to Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center and was later charged with driving under the influence.
