BRISBANE, Australia (WCMH) — An Australian man was fined $750 after threatening to break the legs of a seven-year-old child who was kicking his seat.

The Courier-Mail reports Brett Walter John Gale, 32, pleaded guilty Thursday to offensive and disorderly conduct.

Prosecutors said Gale swore at the child and the child’s parents several times before saying, “Go on, kick the f—ing seat again and I will break your f—ing legs.”

A male passenger who came to the family’s defense was also threatened by Gale, according to prosecutors.

The magistrate who presided over the case told Gale he should have ignored the kicking instead of “inciting” the child to kick more. She called the Gale’s behavior childish. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
