Mother hears her son’s heart beat again inside girl who received it in organ donation

PHOENIX, (WCMH)– For the first time in about three years, Heather Clark heard her son’s heart beating; inside the little girl whose life it saved.

Donate Life Arizona posted about the emotional encounter on their Facebook page.

According to KTLA, Clark lost her 7-month old son Lukas in 2013. She decided to donate his organs and in doing so, saved the life of three children, including 4-year-old Jordan Drake.

Clark wrote about making contact with Jordan’s family on Facebook.

On Friday, Clark finally met Jordan at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where, for the first time in three years, she heard her son’s heartbeat.

Esther Gonzalez, Jordan’s mother, was eager to meet Clark for the very first time.

“I’m not going to say anything. I’m just going to hug her. I think I have run out of words at this point,” Gonzalez told KTLA, moments before the encounter. “Hugging … I don’t have anything else to say.” provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
