Columbus man arrested after allegedly stabbing woman in leg with scissors

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)–Police charged a Columbus man with felonious assault after he allegedly stabbed a woman with scissors.

Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Rich Street on Tuesday around 1:18 p.m.

They arrived and found the 28-year-old victim suffering from a wound to her leg. She was transported to Grant Medical Center is expected to survive her injuries.

Detectives determined that the suspect, 25-year-old Dre Carrington, stabbed the victim with scissors during a verbal altercation. He was apprehended at the scene, interviewed, and subsequently charged with felonious assault.
