Head-on crash kills 1 near Grove City

GROVEMy Site CITY, Ohio (WCMH) — London-Groveport Road has reopened after a fatal head-on crash near Grove City.

The crash happened just after 10pm Tuesday on London-Groveport Road east of Borror Road in Jackson Township.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, a 2000 Chevrolet Prizm driven by 22-year-old Junetta Marcel Williams-Benjamin of Hilliard was traveling west when it crossed into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a 2007 Jeep driven by 35-year-old Keith Olexa of Grove City.

Williams-Benjamin was taken to Grant Medical Center and was pronounced dead a short time later.

Olexa was also taken to Grant Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say neither driver was wearing a seatbelt.

The crash remains under investigation.
