Drone problem? Call in the birds

Police in one country are looking at large birds of prey to curb rogue drone problems.

(WCMH)–Dutch police are working on training birds of prey to take down rogue drones out of the sky.

Police are working with a Hague-based company that trains eagles and other birds to catch drones about large events or airports, where the small machines are banned.

Police said the trainers use the birds’ natural instincts to tackle the problems of the high flying drones, by having them think the drones are their prey.

Dutch police have not made a decision on whether they are going to use the birds or not, but that could come later this year.
