GM employee killed at Defiance plant

DEFIANCE, Ohio (WANE) A worker at the General Motors plant in Defiance, Ohio, was killed Tuesday.

Kevin Nadrowski, the plant communications manager of GM’s Defiance Casting Operations facility, confirmed the employee’s death to WANE in a three-sentence statement Tuesday.

The employee was not named and details of the incident were not released.

GM’s statement:

We are deeply saddened to confirm an employee death occurred at GM’s Defiance Casting Operations the afternoon of February 2nd.
General Motors is committed to employee safety and plant leadership is working closely with authorities to investigate what happened.
We offer our thoughts and prayers to all who are impacted by this tragedy.
