Hamilton Township schools lockdown lifted

HAMILTON TWP., OH (WCMH) — Hamilton Preschool, Hamilton Elementary School and Hamilton Intermediate School have lifted a lockdown after someone made a threatening phone call to the school district.

The lockdown began around 2:52 p.m., a district representative said.

The district said Hamilton Intermediate bus routes will resume immediately. Hamilton Elementary School and Hamilton Preschool bus routes will be running as soon as possible.

The district says all of its students are safe and secure. Hamilton Township High School and Hamilton Middle School students were dismissed prior to the district receiving the threat.

Obetz Police and Columbus SWAT responded.
