Three juveniles charged with arson in Marion Co.

MARION CO., Ohio (WCMH)–The Marion County Sheriff says three boys were arrested after a fire broke out in a vacant building in New Bloomington.

The fire began around 2:46 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of North Main Street and deputies began investigating it as an arson.

Deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office were able to find three suspects: A 17-year-old male from LaRue, a 13-year-old male from New Bloomington, and a 12-year-old male from Marion.

The suspects transported to the Juvenile Detention Center for criminal charges of arson and breaking and entering.

The building sustained damage as a result of the fire and fire crews were on scene until approximately 7 p.m., according to a press release. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
