MOSCOW (WCMH)–A Russian politician shared an image of an ad bearing President Barack Obama’s face–and an anti-smoking message.

The anti-smoking advert, which is in a bus shelter, features an image of Obama taking a drag of what is presumably a cigarette. It has gone viral since it was posted on Facebook on Tuesday.

Politician Dmitry Gudkov shared a photo of the poster. It reads: “Smoking kills more people than Obama, although he kills lots and lots of people,” and “Don’t smoke, don’t be like Obama.”

Gudkov wrote that it was “disgusting and embarrassing that this is appearing on the streets of the Russian capital.” The Guardian said it is not clear who put the poster up, and that Moscow City Hall has not commented. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
