Deputies celebrate graduation with a marriage proposal

LOS ANGELES, CA (WCMH)– Two newly graduated deputies in California celebrated their new titles with a marriage proposal.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page, Andrew McCorkle, who graduated as a deputy sheriff in January, waited until his girlfriend of three years, Kaitlyn Cowell, graduated as a deputy herself.

Shortly after her graduation ceremony ended, February 19, McCorkle delighted his girlfriend when he got down on one knee and proposed.

Cowell accepted his proposal and they finalized the moment with a kiss and a big hug.
