COLUMBUS (WCMH)– After nearly two weeks of investigating, the FBI says there is no evidence Mohamed Barry was working with anyone when he attacked several people at a restaurant with a machete.
According to the FBI, they have developed no information that Barry was directed to, or working with anyone in conducting the machete attack at the Nazareth Restaurant.
The FBI continues to investigate the incident, and are looking into Barry’s life and any possible motives behind the attack.
According to police, Barry entered the Nazareth Restaurant and Deli and attacked multiple people with a machete.
Barry fled the scene in a car and led police on a short chase. Police say they tried unsuccessfully to use a stun gun on him, and when he lunged at officers with the machete in one hand and a knife in the other, they say an officer shot him.
