Man charged after theft at Ross Co. Humane Society

CHLLICOTHE, OH (WCMH)– Deputies said the suspect is accused of breaking into an area Humane Society.

According to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, 45-year-old Anthony D. Umphries was arrested and charged with petty theft from the Ross County Humane Society on Lick Run Road.

Deputies said Umphries had been performing community service at the Humane Society after being released from prison, and was named a person of interest at the location in a breaking and entering February 17.
