PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — An anonymous shopper used his cart to help Portland police catch a fleeing suspect inside a Fred Meyer grocery store on February 18.

That night around 7:15 p.m., police say, Cody Jaye Lindsay burst into the store with police chasing him. Surveillance video captured the chase and the shopping cart takedown.

Lindsay was initially sought by PPB for jaywalking across SE 82nd near Foster and nearly being hit by several cars. When he was caught inside the store, he was then arrested for disorderly conduct, interfering with a peace officer and a parole violation.
