Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday and Read Across America day

March 2 is National Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss' birthday.

(WCMH)– Today is a day to celebrate for all you book lovers out there.

Read Across America is a National Education Association initiative that’s been around since 1998 and is celebrated annually on March 2, on children’s author Doctor Seuss’ birthday.

First lady Michelle Obama is joining the list of educators and public figures encouraging kids and teens to read.
