BURKE COUNTY, GA (WCMH) – A Georgia convenience store clerk used everything she could reach to fight off a man with a gun, including a cash drawer and a hammer.

It happened Tuesday in Burke County, Georgia.

The clerk, Bhumika Patel tells WAGT she was working alone in the store when a hooded man came in and started to purchase a Mountain Dew.

Once she opened the register, the man demanded all of her money, according to Patel.

“My register opened and he said ‘No, no, no, no. I don’t need change. Give me whole money,'” Patel told WAGT. “I say no I can’t. He say I shoot you! I say go ahead. If you want to shoot me, shoot me!”

Video shows her pushing the gun aside. She then starts hitting the man with the cash register drawer before chasing him with a hammer.

The man got away with nothing, save for a bump to the head.

A 17-year-old was arrested in connection with the robbery.
