Man hit, killed by train west of Circleville in Pickaway County

PICKAWAY CO., Ohio (WCMH)–The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office says 38-year-old Jeffrey Gullet was hit and killed by a train west of Circleville while sitting on the train tracks.

The train conductor told officials that he sounded the horn repeatedly, but the man did not move. The conductor said the man appeared to be on his phone.

Coroner John Ellis pronounced Gullet dead around 4:30 p.m.

The train tracks are owned by CSX.
