Pre-peeled oranges spark Whole Foods outrage

A picture of pre-peeled oranges sold by Whole Foods is causing quite the stir on social media.

The picture, showing pre-peeled oranges in a plastic container went viral after being posted on Twitter.

After thousands of retweets and rants, Whole Foods tweeted that it was a mistake and pulled the product.

Whole Foods also promised to leave the oranges in their ‘natural packaging.’

Now, Nathalie Gordon, who tweeted a picture of the offending citrus is facing her own social media backlash.

One profanity-ridden message calls her selfish while saying she should apologize for her ‘self-created orangegate.’
