Former interim Delaware Co. Sheriff pleads guilty to child pornography charges

COLUMBUS (WCMH)– Mark W. Wolfe pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday, to charges that he distributed child pornography.

According to court documents, undercover investigators found a laptop computer with approximately 486 videos and 203 images of child pornography during a search warrant of Wolfe’s residence in July of 2015.

Investigators said the files were located in folders on the computer under the user name “Mark”, and some of the videos showed children as young as eight to 10-months old being sexually abused.

A forensic analysis of the laptop showed Skype chat messages between Wolfe and several other individuals. In these conversations, Wolfe allegedly distributed child pornography files and claimed to have previously engaged in sex acts with minors and stated that his favorite age is five to ten years old.

Wolfe pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography and faces five to 20 years in prison. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
