U.S. 33 reopens in Fairfield Co. after power lines fall on road

SUGAR GROVE, OH (WCMH) — U.S. 33 was closed in both directions at Sharp Road near the Fairfield and Hocking County line for several hours Friday morning.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers closed the highway just after 5:30 a.m. Friday.

There was also a report of a nearby transformer fire.

As of 8:40 a.m., all lanes have reopened.

Berne Union schools are operating under a 2-hour delay due to a power outage related to the fallen power line.
