COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)–A Columbus man who allegedly lured two women into human trafficking and prostitution has been sentenced to seven years in prison, Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced Monday.
Raymont Abdul Durwin Moore, a.k.a. Shorty, pleaded guilty to one count of attempted trafficking in persons (F2) and one count of compelling prostitution (F3).
Moore, 42, is accused of luring one victim into human trafficking between August 30, 2014 and July 22, 2015. A second victim was trafficked between March 1, 2015 and June 3, 2015, according to O’Brien.
Moore reportedly controlled the two women with drugs and violence, while also supervising and taking all of the money from their prostitution work.
Moore’s co-defendant and girlfriend, 34-year-old Anita Ross Gordon, pleaded guilty to one count of promoting prostitution (F4), and is scheduled to be sentenced on April 15.
