MARYSVILLE, OH (WCMH)– Deputies have arrested a man accused of leaving a threatening note at the Honda plant.

According to the Union County Sheriff’s Office, 30-year-old Jefferey Martinez, of Bellefontaine, was arrested Thursday and accused of leaving a threat at the Honda plant.

The 4,000,000 square facility was evacuated for several hours Wednesday after a note was found that said plant would “blow up today.”

Bomb sniffing dogs with the Columbus Fire Department were sent to the plant, and officials spent several hours searching the building, but no suspicious devices were found.

Martinez has been charged with one count of inducing panic and is expected to be arraigned Friday.

Deputies continue to investigate the incident.
