Marion Township firefighter injured battling house fire

MARION CO., OH (WCMH) — A Marion Township firefighter is in the hospital this morning after sustaining injures battling a house fire.

MARIONFIRE2The Marion City Fire Department, who was providing mutual aid, tells us the firefighter sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Officials tell us the firefighter is Ben Meddles. They say he fell through an attic access hole while fighting the flames.

The firefighter suffered injuries to his shoulder and knee. He’s expected to be released from the hospital this afternoon.
