REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio (WCMH) –Police say two people were killed in a shooting on the far east side of the Columbus on Tuesday.
According to Columbus police, officers were called to the 6500 block of Tussing Road near an Enterprise Rent-A-Car on a reported shooting.
Police said two vehicles pulled into the parking lot behind Enterprise. There was a brief conversation between four people (two from each vehicle). The suspect reached into the victim’s car and fired shots. The passenger was killed, and the driver was taken to Grant Medical Center where they later died from their injuries.
Homicide Detective Dave Sicilian says the motive remains unclear.
“We’re not sure what the objective was for meeting here,” Sicilian said. “Obviously they knew each other to some extent.”
Police are asking for help finding the suspect vehicle. It is a silver Chevy Malibu with Ohio license plate GGG5326. The vehicle has a young female driver and male passenger, police say. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous. If spotted, call 911.
