GREEN, OH (WCMH) — Three women are facing charges after a teen was found dead at a Super 8 hotel in Green.

Police say Andrew Frye, 16, died after shooting up heroin with his mother and her friend, NBC affiliate WKYC-TV reports. It happened at the hotel located in the 1600 block of Corporate Woods Parkway just off I-77 in southern Summit County.

Frye’s mother, Heather, and his grandmother, Brenda, now both face involuntary manslaughter and drug charges related to the teen’s death. The mother’s friend, Jessica Irons, faces drug-related charges.

The U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested Heather Frye and Irons this morning.

“Our task force is seeing a growing number of heroin-related deaths, and in turn warrants being issued to our team to find those responsible for these deaths. This is a sad story, where a 16-year-old has lost his life, but justice must served for those that played a role in the young man’s death,” U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott told WJW-TV.

The Medical Examiner has not ruled Andrew’s death an overdose. The report obtained by WKYC-TV states Andrew had been drinking and that he was a diabetic.
