WHITEHALL, Ohio (WCMH)–The Whitehall Division of Police says a second person has been arrested in connection with a man’s murder.

Edward Braswell was shot and killed in the parking lot of 4671 E. Main St. on April 2.

Quanchelle Dampha, 25, was arrested Friday in Whitehall. Police say she was with fellow suspect Emanuell Moncrief, 21, at the time of the murder.

Police say Dampha purchased and later sold a handgun, which detectives believe was the murder weapon. She was arrested on warrants for complicity to murder and tampering with evidence.

Police arrested Moncrief on April 4 and charged him with murder. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
