Three injured in South Linden shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)–Three people were injured in a shooting Saturday afternoon in South Linden, police say.

Police were initially called to the 1200 block of 19th Avenue around 4:19 p.m. Investigators were searching in an alleyway in the area and at the of East 20th Avenue and Gladstone Avenue.

A juvenile was taken to Grant Medical Center in stable condition. One victim was taken to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in critical condition, and another was taken to Wexner in stable condition. All three are expected to survive, according to police.

Police say the suspect is a black male, 6 feet tall, wearing camouflage shorts and a green shirt. The shooting may have occurred after the suspect attempted to steal a gun, according to initial investigations.
