DETROIT, MI (WDIV) Two people are in custody after a 6-month-old girl was shot and killed Saturday afternoon on Detroit, Michigan’s west side.
A 24-year-old man was also shot and is expected to survive. He was outside the home with the three children at the time of the shooting.
Detroit Police Chief James Craig said there’s a connection between Saturday’s shooting and the shooting that killed a 3-year-old baby on Easter Sunday.
“There is a gang nexus,” Craig said. “We believe that these individuals are connected to a local street gang.”
