Reward offered in Pike Co homicide case, authorities continue search for suspect

PIKE COUNTY, Ohio (WCMH) —  One day after a mass shooting that left eight members of the Rhoden family dead, authorities still do not have anyone in custody.

Police in Chillicothe made a traffic stop and questioned someone in relation to the shootings Friday afternoon, but authorities said no arrests were made.

An update from the Ohio Attorney General’s office Saturday said the investigation is still ongoing and no arrests have been made. Additionally, Attorney General Mike DeWine announced a $25,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest an conviction in the case.

Attorney General DeWine has spoken with Cincinnati-Area businessman Jeff Ruby, who has offered $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person(s) responsible for the murders in the Pike County multiple homicide case.”

Representatives for the family spoke to the media Saturday afternoon expressing their appreciation for the work of law enforcement in the case. The family pleads with anyone who might have information to come forward.
