MILWAUKEE, WI (WCMH) — Some friends in Wisconsin recently caught a 6-pack worth of fishing tales.
According to WDJT, some friends in Wisconsin were fishing in a river when one of them thought his line was caught.
“It just got snagged on the bottom, and we thought it was a rock or a log or something like that, it happens all the time, and truth be told we just pulled it up and it ended up being beer,” said Adam Graves.
The 6-pack of beer was estimated at 60 years old, according to Budweiser.
“They were empty unfortunately; I don’t know how good they would’ve tasted anyways. They would’ve been cold still, I’m guessing,” Christian Burzynski, who was fishing with Graves, told WDJT.
The cans only contained some sand from the bottom of the river and some zebra mussels.
How the beer ended up in the bottom of the river remains a mystery, but the men say they may keep the cans or send them to Anheuser-Busch as a museum item.
