Police: Man injured in South Linden shooting

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Police are searching for a shooter after a man was shot several times in the South Linden area.

Columbus police responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of East 21st Avenue and Hamilton Avenue at about 5:14 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators said the victim was a passenger in a vehicle traveling westbound. When the vehicle came to a stop, an unknown person fired multiple gunshots towards the vehicle.

Medics took the 24-year-old victim, who was shot multiple times in his thigh, to Grant Medical Center in stable condition.

The driver and other passengers were not struck, according to police.
