Police: Ohio man threw dog out six-floor apartment window


PAINESVILLE, Oh (AP) – Police in northeastern say a man admitted that he threw his dog out of his six-floor apartment window.

Officers were called to the apartment building in Painesville on Tuesday after the dog’s body was found in the building’s trash compactor.

Police in the city east of Cleveland tell media outlets that the 23-year-old man admitted to throwing the dog from the window.

He’s been arrested on animal cruelty charges and is due in court Wednesday. Police have not released his name or any details about a motive.
