United States’ oldest WWII veteran dies at 110

SHREVEPORT, LA (WCMH) —  Frank Levingston, the nation’s oldest World War II veteran died at the age of 110.

According to KTAL, Levingston died Tuesday at Overton Brooks VA Hospital in Shreveport Louisiana.

He lived through both World Wars, the Great Depression and the Civil Rights Movement.

Last year, Levingston placed a wreath at the National Mall in Washington D.C. to honor his fallen comrades.

Levingston was originally from northern Louisiana and was one of seven children.
