Fire guts theater at abandoned Cleveland area mall


NORTH RANDALL, OH (WCMH) – A fire gutted a former movie theater that sits on the site of an abandoned shopping mall near Cleveland.

The fire started around 9:30pm Thursday at the former Magic Johnson Movie Theater at Randall Park Mall.

According to WKYC, the mall closed in 2009 and was at one time dubbed ‘the world’s largest shopping center.’

Many of the buildings on the site are in the process of being demolished.
