WANTED: Man robs NW Columbus store with threatening note

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Officials are looking for a suspect who robbed a northwest Columbus convenience store last week.

Police said an unidentified male entered the CVS Pharmacy at the corner of Sawmill and Bethel roads on Thursday. He approached the front register counter and presented a note. Investigators said the note was threatening and demanded money. The employee complied and gave the man an undetermined amount of money before fleeing on foot.

Witnessed described the suspect as a black male between 20 and 30 years old. He is about 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black fishing hat, white zip-up hooded jacket with gray stripes, black shorts and white shoes.

Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for any information leading to the arrest or indictment of the people responsible for this crime.  Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS (8477) or go to www.stopcrime.org to e-mail a tip. Tips can also be sent by text to “CRIMES” 274637, keyword CMH.
