How to celebrate International Museum Day in Columbus

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Today the world is celebrating just how important museums are to communities, so we came up with a few you can visit right here in Columbus! Many of them even have FREE admission!

Columbus Museum of Art

Stop in between 10am and 5pm today to check out their dog exhibition! Admission is just $14 for adults and FREE for children five and under!


Of course, if you’re out celebrating today, head to COSI! General admission starts at just $14 and kids under 24 months are FREE. It’s a great place for the whole family to enjoy.

Ohio History Center 

Bring the whole family for a fun, interactive day filled with exhibits exploring everything from life in the 1950s to extinct and endangered Ohio species to an exquisite collection of restored Civil War battle flags.  Ohio History Center admission is $10; $9/age 60+; $5/ages 6–12; Free/Ohio History Connection member or age 5 and under.

Kelton House Museum and Garden

Take a self-guided tour for just $6 at the Kelton House!

Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum

This one is free too! Check it out from 1-5pm

OSU Urban Arts Space

You guessed it, galleries are free admission! Check it out from 11am-6pm.

Central Ohio Fire Museum

Admission is just $6 for adults and $4 for kids!
