COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Last week, Amazon started offering one and two hour delivery in Columbus. Now, Walmart has announced an online grocery pickup service at four area stores.
According to Walmart, customers will be able to use the app or visit Walmart.com and create a shopping list. An employee will select the items requested by the customer, who can come to the store and pick up their groceries. Walmart says they’ll even load the groceries into the customer’s vehicle.
The four stores in the central Ohio area where it will be offered are:
- Walmart Supercenter, 1221 Georgesville Road, Columbus
- Walmart Supercenter, 5200 West Pointe Plaza, Hilliard
- Walmart Supercenter, 1693 Stringtown Road, Grove City
- Walmart Supercenter, 8659 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center
Walmart says they will be offering 30,000 items in the service, which is free, and is expected to start Wednesday, May 25.
