1 injured in north Columbus shooting

COLUMBUS (WCMH) —  Columbus police said Joshua Spelhaug, 19, was seriously injured after being shot during the early morning hours on Sunday.

Witnesses reported that Spelhaug was outside a residence in the 2000 block of Jefferson Avenue when he was shot in the left hip. Suspects were seen on foot running behind the houses across the street.

Spelhaug was taken to a local hospital hospital in serious condition, but was later upgraded to stable.

A suspect description is not available at this time, and the motive is unknown.
