Seven injured after five-vehicle crash closes I-71

FRANKLIN COUNTY, OH (WCMH) — Seven people were taken to the hospital after a five-vehicle crash closed Interstate 71 for several hours Sunday.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol tells NBC4 at the five cars collided at mile marker 92, near the Franklin County-Pickaway County line, at about 4pm Sunday. Northbound lanes of I-71 were closed for more than two and a half hours and investigators and medics worked at the scene.

All seven victims were taken to Grant Medical Center. All victims had non-life threatening injuries. One driver was uninjured.

The incident remains under investigation.
