HILLIARD, OH (WCMH) — The times for fallen Hilliard Officer Sean Johnson’s funeral, visitation and Heroes Escort have been announced.
The Heroes Escort for Officer Sean Johnson will travel the streets of Hilliard Tuesday starting at about 1pm at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 229 E. State Street.
The procession will travel west on Cemetery Road from I-270, north on Main Street through Old Hilliard. The procession will pass First Responders Park at approximately 1:20 – 1:30pm continuing east bound on Northwest Parkway passing the headquarters of the Hilliard Division of Police.
From Hilliard Police Headquarters the procession will continue to St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, north on Leap Road, east on Davidson Road, south on Trueman Blvd, west on Cemetery Road and then north on I-270 to the church at 313 N. State Street.
Officer Johnson’s body will be in a flag draped coffin within a Norwich Township Fire Medic surrounded by pallbearers from Hilliard Police.
Police encourage community members to line the streets to honor Ofc. Johnson.
The visitation and viewing for Ofc. Johnson begins at 4pm Tuesday, at the St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 313 N. State Street.
The family will receive visitors from 4- 7:30pm. At 7:30pm a Fraternal Order of Police Service will conclude the visitation.
The funeral for Officer Johnson will be held at St. Paul Church beginning at 10:30 am. Immediately following the funeral service there will be a procession to and a graveside service with full police honors at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N High Street, Lewis Center.
The procession will go from St. Paul Church, west on County Line Road, south on Worthington Road, to south Worthington-Galena Road, west on Campus View Blvd. and north on U.S. 23 (N. High Street) to Resurrection Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been set up through CME Federal Credit Union to support Officer Sean Johnson’s family.

Gov. John Kasich released the following statement in regards to Ofc. Johnson:
In honor of the life and service of Hilliard Police Officer Sean Johnson, I hereby proclaim, by the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Ohio by the Ohio Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, that the flags of the United States of America and the State of Ohio shall be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout Franklin and Delaware Counties from sunrise to sunset on May 25, 2016.
