Local Boy Scouts honor veterans at Union Cemetery

COLUMBUS (WCMH)–On Saturday, dozens of local Boy Scouts made sure veterans’ graves in Union Cemetery were adorned with flags for Memorial Day.

About 80 Scouts and volunteers spread out to mark the headstones at the cemetery on Olentangy River Road.

Founded in 1806, Union Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in Columbus. Approximately 12,000 veterans are buried there.
