West side SWAT situation ends, only dogs found in house

WEST SIDE SWAT

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Some west Columbus residents said they were evacuated from their homes early Saturday due to a SWAT situation near Sullivant Avenue and Warren Ave.

Columbus police said SWAT officers responded to a report of burglary around 5am, and initial reports indicated that several armed suspects barricaded themselves inside a house.

Police took four people into custody. No charges have yet been filed.

The SWAT situation ended when police entered the home, and found it empty except for some dogs in the house.
