Driver flees after hitting building, CPD cruiser

COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Police are looking for the driver of a car that rammed a Columbus police cruiser early this morning.

IMG_0249According to Columbus police, a driver attempted to ram an auto body shop near the intersection of Weber Road and Grasmere Avenue just before 12:30am. In the process, a Columbus police cruiser was hit.

The car continued east on Weber Road and was abandoned near the intersection of Medina Avenue and Minnesota Avenue, according to police.

Officers searched the immediate area but were unable to find the suspect.
