Massive 11-foot gator pulled out of drain

FORT MYERS, FL (WBBH) County workers made a nasty discovery after responding to reports of a foul odor coming from a Fort Myers storm drain.

The crew found the decaying body of an 11-foot alligator.

Florida Fish and Wildlife says although they hadn’t received any calls about the situation, they say the animals occasionally get caught up in drains.

The body was found in the Whiskey Creek neighborhood.
