Brutus is back in the Pride Parade

COLUMBUS (WCMH)  Brutus the Buckeye will be in the Columbus Pride Parade after all.

The Ohio State University released the following statement in regards to the change of plans:

After additional consultation and reviews, the spirit program has decided to reinstate Brutus Buckeye in the Columbus Pride Festival and Parade on Saturday. Brutus will join a campus-wide group of faculty, staff and senior officials led by President Michael Drake and Athletics Director Gene Smith. Ohio State looks forward to participating throughout the weekend.

On Wednesday, the university said due to security concerns, Brutus would not be marching.

Ohio University also announced its mascot, Rufus, would also being marching in the parade on Saturday.
