Lightning may have caused southeast Columbus fire

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Firefighters believe lightning is to blame for a fire early this morning in southeast Columbus.

The call came in just after 4:00am this morning on Arbor Lake Drive near S. Hamilton Road.

According to firefighters, it appears the fire started inside the attic after a lightning strike.

Crews were able to quickly get on the roof and put out the hot spots inside the building. No other part of the building was damaged.
